Sara is an entrepreneur, designer and natural organizer with a gift for turning ideas into something tangible. Throughout her life, she has pursued a variety of entrepreneurial ventures, bringing creativity, energy and a strong instinct for people to everything she takes on. Her earlier ventures included ownership of The Dog Shop in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, but her entrepreneurial journey has extended well beyond any single business or endeavour.
Sara also plays an important role supporting Eastport Financial Group, her husband’s company, serving as a logistics coordinator and helping support the broader team and the many moving pieces surrounding the organization. She has a particular ability to work behind the scenes—bringing people together, anticipating needs and ensuring that ambitious ideas actually become reality.
At the heart of Sara’s life, however, is a desire to use her gifts in service of others. She is deeply involved in her family’s philanthropic work and the causes they have chosen to champion, including Fathers for Fathers and the SPARK Business Leaders Conference. Whether through entrepreneurship, design, hospitality, business or philanthropy, Sara brings warmth, creativity and a genuine love for people to what she does, helping create the environments, relationships and experiences that allow others to flourish.
